We broke the 2012 record for most consecutive days of planing wind. 76 is the new record. What a shame that the wind gods decided to take a break for this weekend. With the prediction for September it could have easily become 80.
Maybe even more. For quite a few weeks we have watched the lull be moved back day by day so that it constantly hovers 7 to 8 days in the future.
That is what it looked like originally for the last weekend of August until the midnight run of the forecasting model on Thursday destroyed the hopes for a perfect month of wind, never to be restored. Or does the hour in the late afternoon with the 12m kite and lightwind board count? In that case we could push it up to 77 days in a row 😉
