Dear sports friends,
we had to comply with official requirements and made changes at the KITE & SURF CENTER PLAYA SUR. The remaining size of our centre now is not big enough to accommodate windsurf rental equipment. For this reason, we must cease this activity in December ’22. All our other services like storage, kitesurfing lessons and rental and even windsurf tuition will remain.
Of course this decision has not been easy, but we still look forward to being the favourite meeting point in El Médano for water sportsmen and women. Luckily, for those of you who need to rent windsurfing equipment, there are several excellent places to go in the designated area, so the town lives on. We wish all wind and water lovers the best possible conditions for maximum fun on the ocean.

Lessons
We offered lessons throughout the whole year, if the wind and wave conditions allow it.
After finisching this offer end of 2023 we recommend our partner in the WIND CENTER, Red Rock.

Our teaching method
Bungee technique
Since the beginning of SURF CENTER in El Médano, we have had to develop a new teaching method in order to face the challenging shore break and waves out in the ocean. This is how it works:
An elastic rope connects the student's board with the instructor's one
This makes it easier to keep the student's board on course
Students can concentrate entirely on keeping their balance
Unlike a non-elastic rope, the bungee rope avoids jerky pulling, making manoeuvres smooth and progressive
No downwind drifting
Direct assistance to turn around, even in the hardest conditions
Incredible progress in very short time
