The rather dissappointing Christmas days are finally over. A let down for all those hungry for wind that have been fleeing from the rather mild winter with plans for doing watersports. Now we are looking at the flip-flopping forecasts of the NOAA that we view through our lens of experience. We have no idea what we are to make of it. On some iterations we see non-stop wind from the beginning of the year onwards, other times the dream forecast is broken up by a couple of lulls. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens.
To make up for it the computer model predicts such a crazy pressure charts over the north Atlantic on the 30th that we can only feel pity for Iceland. A hurricane center so compact that is rarely seen.  We can only iimagine how extremely unpleasant this New Years Eve will be for them. They are probably used to it, but such strong winds?…We can probably expect that to result in some pretty strong waves on the Canaries a few days later. The water won’t stop moving 🙂
