After all our experiences – which by now are rounding 34 years (and 30 of them recorded) – we can say that May isn’t a very reliable month. We’ve had situations along the years where this month didn’t even reach two thirds of planning wind days. Those are the ones with less that 4 Beafourt.
But it does look much more promising this year. Having gotten over half of the month already there was actually just one day where our “fun” wind was missing. The frightening little spare space on the 20th week of the calendar has also been closed up now, this means we can start welcoming the summer. Of which just a few moments shall be used to do other activities.
We suppose that this will bring us an unusual long strong-wind period. Fact is that in close future the wind is coming from “our” direction: the last “W” for west showed up on the computer on the 13th. The weather conditions will have to make an enormous change if this isn’t happening. We stay optimistic.
Update: Oh! – the last results from the 15th show up two “W”s …. Six hours later the spare space has opened up again (but at least the “W”s are gone;-)
