La verdad es que Aiolos tuvo suficiente tiempo para recuperarse. Tras tantos días con viento flojo e incluso calma completa nos esperábamos un poco de compasión por los que vinieron de lejos. Pero desafortunadamente la esperanza fue (otra vez) en vano. A este motivador Viernes Santo le seguirá otro descanso más, con el cual solo estarán contentos aquellos a los que les molesta el viento.
Cabe destacar – nuevamente – los resultados de los cálculos tan diferentes por el periodo de 16 días que tenemos a disposición para
los aficionados al deporte de viento. Hace dos semanas nos habían
“prometido” una Semana Santa increíble, luego nos “amenazaron” con una calma de pesadilla y ahora una de cal y otra de arena, con las que nos tenemos que conformar.
Lo malo es que tantos deportistas con sed de actividad volaron hasta aquí y ahora no pueden hacer más que mirar los gráficos con los que representamos la previsión de una manera muy atractiva. No pueden creer que hicieron tantos kilómetros para tener que conformarse con excusiones de Stand Up Paddle. Pero nadie domina esa magia…
(Rotten) Easter Eggs
Aiolos had enough time to recover. After so many days with light wind and even no wind at all we expected at least some compassion for those who travelled so far. Unfortunately that hope was in vain (again). After this motivating Good Friday yet another break has been calculated, making only those happy who find the wind annoying rather than a blessing.
It’s noteworthy how the 16-day long-time period has changed so drastically in the calculation results. Two weeks ago the forecast “promised” a fantastic Easter Week, then it “threatened” with an awful calm and now a to and fro which we can only accept.
The terrible thing is: so many watersport friends came to Tenerife with zest for action. Now they can do nothing but observe the graphics which show the forecasts in an attractive way. They can’t believe they travelled so far to do Stand Up Paddle trips. But nobody can do this sort of magic…

Genug Zeit zum Erholen hatte Aiolos. Nach so vielen Schwachwind- und sogar Flautentagen hatten wir auf Besinnung für die weit Geflogenen gehofft. Aber leider war diese Hoffnung wohl (wieder mal) vergebens. Nach diesem motivierenden Karfreitag ist erneut eine Pause ausgerechnet, mit der nur Abgeklärte glücklich werden können oder solche, die Wind eher lästig finden.
Bemerkenswert sind – mal wieder – die extrem unterschiedlichen Rechenergebnisse über die 16 Tage, die für Interessierte greifbar sind. Vor zwei Wochen hatten die uns eine traumhafte Osterwoche “versprochen”, dann einige Tage ätzende Flaute “angedroht” und nun ein Wechselbad vorgesehen, mit dem wir wohl leben müssen.
Das Schlimme daran: so viele Sportfreunde sind voller Tatendrang zu Tante Riffa geflogen. Sie schauen nun mit uns gemeinsam ratlos auf die Grafik-Balken, mit denen wir die Aussichten optisch nett erfassbar machen. Sie können’s nicht glauben, dass sie die weite Reise für Ausflüge mit StandUpPaddel-Boards gemacht haben sollen. Aber zaubern kann halt keiner…
